Orthopedic Sports

We have a strong foundation working with the athletic population from varsity & college level to Olympic trials & Nationals. We are board-certified in pediatric & Orthopedic physical therapy and have worked with a variety of sports, including swimming, wrestling, lacrosse, hockey, equestrian, baseball/softball, gymnastics, and triathletes.

Pediatrics

A particular niche at Perform! is our relationships with our local pediatricians. We work with torticollis infants and their families if there is a gap in care due to early intervention guidelines, which gives the families an alternative to care without the wait.

Spine Specialists

At Perform!, our licensed physical therapists have advanced clinical training in the treatment and management of various spinal conditions. Those with middle back pain, low back pain, neck pain, whiplash, disc bulges, pinched nerves, sciatica, spinal stenosis, or post-surgery pain from laminectomy, discectomy and spinal fusion are encouraged to see a specialist!

Total Joint Replacement & Post-Surgical Care

Perform! specializes in post-surgical physical therapy for total joint replacements and partial tears of muscles and ligaments. Additionally, surgeries related to hips, knees, arms, hands, shoulders, and feet/ankles often require physical therapy for optimal recovery. Post-surgical physical therapy doesn’t just help ensure proper recovery; it also helps patients get moving back into the world, and being social again.

Dance Rehabilitation

We are well versed in dance technique, choreography, and the injuries specific to the dance population. We have worked as dance instructors and therapists. Melinda has worked as a physical therapist to all levels of performers, including members of Alvin Ailey, Joffre Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, as well as the Broadway casts of Lion King, Chicago, Cabaret and more. She has taught injury prevention and anatomy to dance instructors and performers.
